The 2008 edition of CES has come and gone and with a showcase floor the size of Providence, RI, there was really only one product announced that I wanted. Well actually it's more like one type of product made by three different companies. Canon, Samsung, and Panasonic all announced their new line of flash-based 1080p video cameras. A few weeks ago I talked about how cool it would be to film a little movie starring my friends and I think any one of these products would go a long way in helping me check that item off my "30 Things..." list.

Canon VIXIA HF10

Samsung SC-HMX20C

Panasonic HDC-HS9

Knowing me I'll be holding off on getting a flash-based camcorder. Bills suck. Next week at Macworld 08, Apple will probably announce a flash-based laptop. drool. Next month at PMA 08, Sony and Canon will likely announce new digi cams. drool drool. Ah yes, there's nothing better than buying useless crap that you think you need.
