24.7 Things Left To Do - The Great Gatsby

"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

Throughout middle school and high school I grew to despise many things. I despised the Dallas Cowboys because they took away three Superbowl victories from the 49ers. I despised some chump named Brian because he tried throwing a basketball at me back in the eighth grade. I also despised "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald because I found it to be the most boring novel I ever read. While I'm not ready to forgive the Cowboys or Brian I figured I should revisit Gatsby.

Continuing with the whole book thing I read Gatsby for the second time. I guess with a little more life experiences under my belt my disdain for Jay Gatsby the first time around turned into sympathy. Rather than bore you with the lame details of why I enjoyed this book or how it's affected me in any way I'll just say that I, like Gatsby, still find myself reaching towards the green light.

24.7 things left to do. Until then...
